A man has died after being treated with Viagra over the weekend. (AP)
The man, who has been described as having severe headaches and having suffered from migraines, was found dead at his house in the northern west city of Edinburgh on Saturday. The coroner ruled he had suffered from an erectile dysfunction.
The man died from a type of heart disease called “leptic malignant”, which has the potential to be fatal to a developing baby.
The drug is widely prescribed to treat erectile dysfunction. However, the drug was not effective in treating the underlying cause, a condition in which a person’s blood supply is abnormal.
The man died at the home of a woman and at the time was living with her daughter. She had been taking Viagra for about three weeks.
In a statement she said: “I am not a stranger to this situation and I understand it is very upsetting to have the man’s death at such a young age.
“He was very healthy and was in good health. We were given the opportunity to visit his funeral and I am very sorry for the patient and will be fully committed to our family.”
The coroner, Dr Ian O’Neill said: “This is a very dangerous case and we are working with the law to ensure that this remains a health risk to the community and we are taking the necessary measures to address this.”
The woman and the daughter of the deceased had died in their early 20s after being told by their father they were pregnant. They are now six and a half years old.
The cause of death was not known at the time of the killing. In a statement, the family said: “The deceased has not been diagnosed with cardiovascular disease.
“The cause of death is not known at the time of this death.”
The Coroner said: “The cause of death is not known at the time of this death. There is a strong suspicion that Viagra was taken from the man’s blood and therefore is unlikely to have been taken from the man’s blood.
“However, we will be continuing to monitor this patient and will make any further enquiries as needed.
“There is an element of risk to the patient when the man has been using Viagra. It is important that Viagra is taken regularly, at the same time every day, to ensure that the drug is effective and not to cause side effects, such as diarrhoea and stomach ulcers.”
The Coroner added that the “main course” of treatment for Viagra is a low dose of the drug that is taken for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. The medicine should not be used at a high dose.
The woman and the husband of the deceased, who are still alive, said: “We are very sorry to have to suffer and we will be fully committed to our family.”

His wife was said to have suffered from “severe headaches” and had suffered from severe heart and liver problems. The husband of the deceased, who were both believed to be in the home, said: “I am very sorry for the patient and we will be fully committed to our family.”
The coroner said the death was not attributable to an “emotional or psychological cause” and that Viagra was not effective in treating the underlying cause. The product, which is sold as a gel, is a form of the drug which is used to treat impotence.
Viagra, which is also known as Sildenafil, was first introduced in the UK in 1998 and quickly gained international recognition for its effectiveness. Viagra has been used since at least 1998, but has been only available in the UK since 2004. The pill is not effective in treating erectile dysfunction.
A spokesman for the manufacturer of Viagra told The Associated Press the product was “generally available” and that the product was being prepared for sale. He added: “We are really glad that the Viagra company has decided to go ahead with making this medicine available to men in the UK.
“If it wasn’t for the Viagra product, we would be in very different situations.
